Korifey literature of Azerbaijan celebrates 75 anniversary in Israel
Famous Maitreu of Azerbaijani literature Vagif Samadoglu marks 75 years
Today, the well-known and authoritative maestro of Azerbaijani literature, Vagif Samadoglu, is 75 years old. I thank the Almighty that fate gave me a meeting with this wonderful and bright person, which is a reflection of the wisdom and deep intelligence of the Azerbaijani people.
Vagif Samadoglu was born on June 5 of the year 1939 in Baku. He graduated from the Bulbul music school, then the Azerbaijan State Conservatory named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov, and attended courses at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory. It has long been noticed that a talented person is talented, if not in all, then in many ways. Vagif Samadoglu could remain a professional musician. Vagif went to Moscow, where the legendary Jacob Flier listened, approved, and was ready to take on his class. But the young man directly declared that he was not going to be a musician, but would be a poet. Music remained in the life of Vagif. And the poems remained forever. But he chose for himself, at first glance, the intangible, but sometimes unbearably heavy art of the word.
In 1963, his first literary collection “Yeddi şeir"("Seven Poems"), and in 1968 - the first book "Yoldanteleqramlar"("Telegrams from the Path"). Since 1970 - member of the Azerbaijan Writers Union. From 1963 to 1971 he was a piano teacher at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory. Then, in 1968-1971, Vagif Samedoglu headed the editorial office of the Azerbaijan Soviet Encyclopedia of Arts. 1982-1985 - head of the literary department of the Azerbaijanfilm film studio named after J. Jabbarli. It is worth noting that in the work of Vagif Samedoglu, a special place is occupied by questions of philosophical understanding of the world, man and society. Vagif Samadoğlu’s creativity is characterized by a variety of themes, breadth and breadth of poetic thinking.
After the collapse of the totalitarian Soviet system, the talent of the playwright and poet Vagif Samadoglu was fully revealed when three books were published - “Günün baxtı", "Mən burdayam, ilahi"("God, I'm here...") and "Uzaq, ya l ada"("Distant Green Island"), which became an unforgettable event in modern Azerbaijani literature.
Active participation in the literary and cultural life of the Azerbaijan Republic, as well as in the socio-political sphere, is a clear expression of the poet’s truly civic position. Vagif Samedoglu, along with his late brother Yusif, were the idealistic founders of the national liberation movement in Azerbaijan. From 2000 to 2005, he was a deputy of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan), a member of the pardon commission and the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation to PACE.
Here I want to cite as an example an excerpt from the book of an Azerbaijani journalist. Natavan Faig About Vagif Samadoglu:
“He is one of those rare people with whom you can talk about everything, and not one of those who selectively answers questions. From Neuhaus to Brockhaus... Such a range - well, who can compete with him in this weight category today. And here you also have Marquez with Borges, Nietzsche with Brodsky and Stravinsky with Karaev, and also Kuprin with Richter and Leonardo... You involuntarily look for someone - behind his back - it’s impossible to accumulate so much! At the same time, demonstrating a phenomenal memory, he still fought me from time to time, correcting and clarifying the facts, including my biography! And now he’s sitting opposite, looking at me with his ambiguous eyes; There is an absolutely visible naivety in them and right there - not without sparks of misfortune... Slowly fills his pipe, looking straight ahead - into eternity. It’s like a breakthrough into another dimension... An unexpanded look at everything, as they say, with a wide range of climatic zones. Well, who else would say that! I can’t resist, I’ll give you a few of his aphorisms, and just quotes from the conversation.
“For the leader, the most difficult exam is war, for the people, freedom”
"Losing ourselves, we can not find each other"
"Tired in the homeland in a foreign country do not rest"
"Shusha was shot like a gazelle emerged from the fog"
“Shaitan is a good psychologist”
“When everything gets expensive, life becomes cheaper”
“Can I get to know a person?” May God bless you to learn and understand something to the last breath! ”
“A bad road to a comfortable village will not lead”
“The court of conscience is the most inhumane in the world. There is a Judge and a Prosecutor, but there is no Lawyer.”
"The charm of memories in their inaccessibility"
“I assure you, only Eve and Adam were new in the world, all the others were a repeat, with changes. Like the circle of fifths in music"
“The sense of fear is stronger than death itself. Millions of people go to suicide for fear. ”
"Fatigue, inherited from the father-grandfather, you will not leave"
"I realized that I lived this life without a fee"
“If loneliness could scream, its scream would clog the ears of humanity,” writes Natavan Faig in his book about the great and unattainable Vagif Samadoglu.
Since 2013, Vagif Samadoglu suffers from gastric cancer. Since that time, I and several of my friends have sought to support Vagif a muallim-courageous man who struggles with a serious illness, while maintaining optimism and a sense of humor. During each meeting, Vagif Samadoglu argued that he was a lover of creative communication, friendly feast, witty conversation and appreciating the joys of earthly life, although in his poems Vagif Samadoglu sometimes appears gloomy pessimist, traveler, wandering in the endless desert, loneliness.
Next to Vagif muallim, the poet’s guardian angel, Nushaba khanum Vekilova - to their happiness, both of them walked a long and difficult road. Nushaba Khanum, a wonderful person, is a real and genuine support and stronghold for Vagif Samedoglu in his fight against this serious illness. Over the course of a year, Vagif Samedoglu and Nushaba Khanum became the closest people to my soul, they became an integral part of my family. For almost a year now, Vagif muallim has been coming to the State of Israel and fighting this disease. During this time, my friends and I met and talked with him more than once - we talked about a lot - from the history of the ADR and the role of the founding fathers, about the difficult period when his father, Samed Vurgun, was able to survive during the period of repression, about his personal acquaintance and meetings with the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
On this beautiful and bright day of Vagif Samedoglu, I wanted to be today in my native Azerbaijan, in my native Baku, in the Azerbaijan Drama Theater, next to which I was born and raised, where I spent my childhood and youth. I wanted to visit this theater, where today they are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet, the heir of the great Samed Vurgun, and tell him: “If there is beauty and wisdom in this life, then it is reflected in the creativity and personality of the master of Azerbaijani poetry. Vagif muallim - You are the beating heart and true light of Azerbaijan. Vagif muallim - we love you very much, today not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the State of Israel there are a lot of your readers and fans, friends Facebook and real friends who love you madly and pray for you, for being so wise and simple, gentle and loved, dear and truly your own Vagif mohallim. We wish you only health and health again, and that your marathon race of life lasts until 120 years, as they say in Israel.
I want to complete the article with the words of today's father of the anniversary devoted to Azerbaijan:
“I walked through the mountains, I looked between the meadows
In the cranes of native springs;
From afar listened to the noise of reeds
And the night Araks is slow ...
Here I learned friendship, and love, and honor.
Is it possible to steal the soul from the heart? Never!
You are my breath, you are my bread and water!
Before me, your cities opened wide.
I'm all yours. Forever in the sons you are given!
Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan!
Let Baku, my unknown guest visit:
Millions of suns his night hit.
If the north wind is buzzing in the towers,
The sandy expanse echoes,
Midnight Mountains are talking ...
Is it possible to steal a mother from a child? Never!
You are my breath, you are my bread and water!
Before me, your cities opened wide.
I'm all yours. Forever in the sons you are given!
Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan!
Do not die Nasimi, do not die Fizuli -
Dear Pozhty ancient land,
Like misty stars twinkle in the distance ...
But many people like this will be born here:
These are loved ones, these are earthly lights!
Is it possible to steal a song from the throat? Never!
You are my breath, you are my bread and water!
Before me, your cities opened wide ...
I'm all yours. Forever in the sons you are given!
Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan!
