Ransomware virus Petya.A has hit hundreds of companies and government agencies around the world.

Organizations of Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, India and other countries were attacked, writes TJ.

According to estimates of the Kaspersky Lab employee Kostin Raya, the scale of the attack is smaller than during virus activity. WannaCryhowever, the damage is still significant, there have been several thousand infection attempts worldwide.

Hardest Petya.A touched Ukraine and Russia, also hit Poland, Italy, Germany and Belarus.

A new extortioner virus reached the American pharmaceutical company Merck, affecting mainly the international departments of the company, particularly in Ireland.

Атака Petya.A 27 began on June, and in a few hours the virus acted on the bitcoin wallet of the hackers to transfer 7 thousand dollars.

This follows from the open information of the blockchain, available at the wallet address.

In all cases of virus attack Petya.A The same bitcoin wallet was indicated in the message on the computer screen. The first transfers to it began to arrive about three hours after start of attack, writes TJ.

Users transferred amounts equivalent to $300—that’s how much hackers demand for decrypting files.
