The South Korean company Samsung has introduced a new model line of smartphones Galaxy. Together with the flagship model presented four new smartphones, one of which is bent in half, like a sheet of paper.

Galaxy Fold will start selling 26 on April, it risks becoming the most expensive mass-produced phone, since its starting price is 1980 dollars, writes with the BBC.

The main point of the program is the Samsung Galaxy S10. This is Samsung's new flagship model and a representative of the company's tenth generation of phones. Its screen diagonal size is 6,1 inches, like the iPhone XR. The phone is charged via the USB Type C port or via wireless charging.

The Galaxy S10 has three cameras on the back (12, 16, and 13 megapixels; regular, wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses) and one on the front. Battery capacity - 3500 mAh. The amount of file storage space can reach a terabyte (1024 gigabytes). This is not a breakthrough - back in 2018, the first phone with a terabyte of memory was the Chinese Smartisan R1.

In addition to the flagship S10, the company introduced modified models. Most of the audience was intrigued by the emerging, like a book, Galaxy Fold phone.

The phone really looks fresh. The “book” can be read both from the outside and open. Screen resolution is 1536 x 2152 pixels, aspect ratio is 16:10. The retail price of the phone, as previously reported, will range from $1600 to $2000 depending on specifications.

The Galaxy S10 Plus is a large-screen model that will clearly compete in the same market segment as the large-screen iPhone XS released in 2018.

Galaxy S10e will be a budget model of the flagship phone.

The largest manufacturers of smartphones, and Samsung among them, began this year with bad news. Apple first unexpectedly worsened sales forecast, and then Samsung surprised all grim warning that things are going worse than expectations and improvements should not wait until spring. It is believed that this is due to the trade war between the United States and China, which slows the growth of the Chinese economy.
