Comedian Bill Cosby received a prison sentence for rape and harassment
In Pennsylvania, a court sentenced actor Bill Cosby, who was accused of raping and harassing more than 60 women. Judge Stephen O'Neill sentenced him to at least three and no more than 10 years in prison. Because of several articles, a comedian could spend in prison up to 30 years, but the maximum term was reduced.

The judge classified Cosby's 81-year-old as a “sex maniac,” Tjournal. This means that the actor will have to undergo monthly psychological counseling for the rest of his life, as well as to be noted once in three months with the authorities. His name will be put on the list of rapists who will be sent to neighbors, to schools and victims.

The prosecutor's office asked to sentence him to at least five years in prison. Cosby's defense insisted on house arrest because of the age of the actor and total blindness.

The judge said that Cosby could not get bail. The sentence will be enforced in the courtroom.

At the end of April 2018, Cosby was convicted of sexual harassment and rape. In total, more 60 women complained about Cosby, but the statute of limitations has expired in almost all episodes. The only exception was the case of Temple University former employee Andrea Constandt.

According to Konstandt, the comedian mixed a sedative into her drink, waited for him to act, and raped her. A jury convicted him. For each of the three charges, Cosby could receive up to 10 years in prison (that is, a total of up to 30 years).

Many actors and stars supported the comic’s guilty plea, including one of Harvey Weinstein’s victims - Rose McGowan. 3 May 2018 of the American Academy leaders excluded the actor from it.
