When the largest Russian TV channel manipulates information. Video
Journalists from the French Canal+ studied in detail the work of their “colleagues” from the Rossiya TV channel, “dissecting” in detail one of the stories of Dmitry Kiselev’s author’s program “News of the Week,” dedicated to “Eurosceptics in France.”
They found everyone who was interviewed by Vesti correspondent Anton Lyadov, and showed them what was said on Russian television. It turned out that there is not a word of truth in the report: the footage shown in the program refers to other events, and people’s statements are distorted or distorted.
The demonstration, where protesters fight with the police, is a protest action by opponents of the new labor code. The lyceum, “conquered by migrants,” was closed and turned into a homeless shelter back in 2011. An elderly pensioner and a girl from a night picket, exposed as racists, are not afraid of migrants. That is, nothing shown in the plot has anything to do with “Euroscepticism”, пишет 9 channel.
Dmitry Kiselev's reaction to the charges
Kiselev admitted that sometimes the channel “misses burrs.” He also promised to respond to Le Petit Journal's accusations in the next program. Kiselev also added that Europeans “do not see the beam in their own eye.”
The author of the story, Rossiya-1 correspondent Anton Lyadov, refused to talk to Kommersant and hung up. пишет edition "Kommersant".
Kiselev has already had to admit mistakes in the stories of Vesti Nedeli. Thus, he agreed with the accusations that on April 24, the program aired a fake identity card of the Haupsturmführer of the SS Galicia division. At the same time, Kiselev did not apologize for the mistake, and noted that the “glued together” ausweiss only remind of the real story.
