Clinton said she regretted using personal mail
Former US Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she regrets that used a personal mail server for official correspondence at the post of head of the foreign affairs agency.
“It wasn't the best choice. I have already said more than once and will continue to say that this was allowed and done absolutely openly, people in the government knew that I was using a personal account. But it would be better if I had two separate accounts,” Clinton said in an interview with MSNBC.
Because of the scandal with the postal service, Clinton was subjected to fierce criticism from the Republican Party and came under pressure shortly before the next presidential election, in which she intends to take part.
In response to the criticism, she stated that she was ready to publicize the content of the correspondence.
The scandal also affected the electoral ratings: an increasing number of voters now consider Clinton as not credible, including due to the use of her personal mail server.
Previously potential US presidential nominee from Republicans Donald Trump said that the discussion around Hillary Clinton's e-mail became “destructive” for her.
“I think that these are destructive consequences for the elections, but (...) its biggest problem is not elections, but the future is a criminal matter,” said Trump.
