Clinton has already ordered a salute in honor of the election victory.
US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has already planned a winning firework show in New York.
The show will begin half an hour after the closure of state polling stations 8 November, reports New York Post.
Law enforcement agencies and employees of the city’s fire department were instructed to prepare for ensuring the safety of a pyrotechnic show over the Hudson River, not far from the place where the counting of votes will take place.
Some police officers expressed dissatisfaction with this decision of the politician. “It’s a little presumptuous of her to plan to win,” one said. Some also expressed concerns that their security for the show would look like they were endorsing Clinton.
In 2016, for the first time in the history of the US presidential election, both candidates will watch the counting of votes and wait for the results in the same city - New York, which requires special vigilance from the police, because they not only need to ensure the safety of members of the headquarters both candidates, but also to prevent possible clashes between supporters of politicians in the streets.
On this occasion, some police officers joked that if Clinton did not win, then the acquired and planned fireworks could be quickly sold to Republican nominee Donald Trump at half price.
