The Chinese vaccine for COVID-19 may hit the market at the end of December. This was told by the secretary of the party committee, chairman of the board of directors of the state corporation Sinopharm Liu Jingzhen in an interview with Guanming Daily, writes RBC.

“After the completion of the third stage of international clinical trials, we can proceed to the stage of approval of the inactivated vaccine, we expect that by the end of December this year the vaccine will be able to enter the market,” he said.

Earlier, China patented a vaccine from another manufacturer. This is a recombinant vaccine Ad5-nCoV, jointly developed by CanSino Biologics and the Institute for Bioengineering Research at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences.

Earlier, the Russian company Petrovax received permission from the Ministry of Health to conduct the third part of clinical trials of this vaccine in Russia. After the tests, a decision will be made to register the drug in Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Community.
