Kiev announced a special flight from Miami: when Ukrainians will be able to leave the United States

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has announced a special flight from Miami (Florida) to Kiev. This is stated in the message Embassies of Ukraine in the USA on a page on Facebook.

“Dear citizens of Ukraine, we inform you that Ukraine International Airlines is conducting a special commercial flight on the Miami-Kyiv route on April 26, 2020. You can purchase tickets on the airline's website at link", says the UIA statement.

The ticket price includes payment for a two-week observation along with meals. The price of tickets starts at 27 hryvnia ($ 134).

“In addition, we draw your attention to the fact that in order to purchase air tickets, there is a mandatory requirement - providing consent to undergo an observation upon return to Ukraine,” the message reads.

A link to the consent form for the observation will be available at the time of purchase of the ticket.

Among other things, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA commented on the situation regarding Ukrainians who are on cruise liners off the coast of the united states.

“In cooperation with the US State Department and the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America, shipowners have already managed to evacuate crew members of the Grand Princess cruise ships of Carnival, Celebrity Reflection, individual cruise ships of MSC Cruises and Equinox of Royal Caribbean,” the Embassy said.

“We are currently continuing joint work with a number of leading ship-owning companies to return Ukrainian crew members on cruise ships. It is important to understand that shipowners must obtain permits from the US Center for Disease Control (CDC), which has developed separate requirements for organizing the evacuation of ship crew members, the message says. “As soon as the shipowners receive all the necessary permits, they will immediately inform Ukrainians about possible ways to return to their homeland.”

The embassy stays in touch with representatives of the shipowners and monitors the conditions of stay and respect for the rights of Ukrainian citizens who are on cruise ships.
