KFC sues rumors of octopus chicken

The KFC fast food chain filed a lawsuit against three Chinese companies, accusing them of spreading rumors in social networks about cooking dishes from supposedly genetically modified chicken.

In a statement, KFC, in particular, reported that one of the most common was the rumor that the hens from which they cook dishes in this network have six wings and eight legs.

As defendants in the lawsuit filed by KFC in court in Shanghai, three companies are listed that maintain accounts in the popular WeChat mobile application.

The KFC fast food restaurant chain, founded in the US 1952, specializes in chicken dishes. KFC operates in 118 countries of the world. In the Chinese market, KFC occupies a leading position in the fast food segment. In China, there are about 4,6 thousands of restaurants of this network.
