A casino in Nevada staged a whole special operation to search for a visitor in order to give him a big win
Nevada gambling regulators say they have investigated and found an Arizona man who left Las Vegas after a visit last month not knowing he won a $229 slot machine jackpot, reports CBS.

The machine that Robert Taylor was playing went out of order due to a "communication error" and neither he nor the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino realized that he had won the jackpot on the evening of January 8th, as reported on February 4th by the Board of Nevada Gambling Control.
The jackpot was later confirmed after verification, but Taylor had already returned to Arizona by then and the casino was unable to identify him, the board said in a statement.
The board said it then opened an investigation and ultimately identified Taylor after two weeks of reviewing security footage, interviewing witnesses, examining electronic purchase records and analyzing data.

James Taylor, Chief of Enforcement for the Board of Directors, praised the agents in the case for "enforcing that public trust in the gaming industry remained strong by putting in countless hours over the course of two weeks to ensure that the individual received their winnings" .
“This was a great example of government working together for the good of the community,” he said.
Robert Taylor, whose hometown has not been released, was notified of his jackpot on January 28th and he planned to claim it at the casino this weekend.
