Every second Russian wants back to the USSR
The Russians have become more nostalgic for the Soviet Union. This is evidenced by data from a survey by the Levada Center.
The percent of Russians 56 regretted about the collapse of the USSR, and just over half believe that the collapse of the union state could have been avoided.
The share of Russians nostalgic for Soviet times was the highest since November 2010, but the historical maximum exceeds today's figure - in December 2000, three-quarters of Russians regretted the collapse of the USSR.
58 percent of Russians would like the revival of the Soviet Union and the social system, while 44 percent noted that at present this is unrealistic.
At the same time, every third person would not want to restore the country of the Soviets and socialism.
There are also fewer people who were upset by the collapse of the Union - 28 percent compared to 37 in 2010.
The fact that the collapse of the Soviet Union was inevitable, said 33 percent of respondents. 17 percent could not formulate a response.
We note that a recent survey by the Levada Center showed that Russians is improving attitude to the US and the EU, while the perception of Ukraine does not change.
