The creators of Comet managed to create a smartphone that does not sink in water, and now they are trying to raise funds for the project.

Every year, over 80 millions of smartphones are damaged by water. A group of startupers from California decided that this problem deserves a solution. This decision was the smartphone Comet, which, literally, and the sea on the knee. Getting into the water, the device does not sink, but floats on the surface. In addition, the smartphone complies with the IPx7 waterproof standard, as in echo sounders.

Comet has something to boast and in addition to water resistance. The smartphone has a high degree of data protection. It uses a military-grade encoding that ensures the security of calls and SMS.

For entertainment, Comet has a mood recognition feature. Using biometric sensors, the smartphone determines the mood of the owner and, depending on this, changes the color of the LED backlight.

Comet has very impressive features. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 810-core processor with a clock frequency of 2 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 4,7-inch AMOLED-display. The amount of memory, depending on the version, can be 32 and 64 GB. The battery capacity is 2800 mAh. To top it off, the smartphone has a dual 16-megapixel camera.

Currently, the creators of Comet accept pre-orders, and the 32-gigabyte version can be purchased for 249 dollars. It is assumed that shipments will begin in April next year. Startups are also trying to raise funds for the project through Indiegogo. So far, they have accumulated almost 36 thousand dollars out of the necessary 100 thousand.
