California city will be a 'haven' for gun owners

The city of Needles, California, has declared itself a "sanctuary" city for those who exercise the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, and plans to oppose California's restrictive gun laws, writes Daily Caller.

The City Council Needles unanimously voted for such an innovation, however, according to the city authorities, this “will not have an immediate and direct practical impact on how the weapons are handled in the city.” Instead, parliamentarians are drafting a bill allowing those who are licensed to carry hidden weapons, issued by another state, to carry guns in the city of Needles.

Needles has a population of just 4 and is closer to Arizona than its neighboring California city of San Bernardino.

“While we recognize that all lawful gun owners have a responsibility to ensure they comply with state and federal gun laws, we also recognize that the State of California cannot pass laws that infringe on Second Amendment rights,” the mayor said. Jeff Williams.

Residents of the city are outraged that the legitimate owners of weapons from other regions, coming to California, are forced to disarm. If they don’t, they risk being arrested.

California only recognizes weapons carrying permits issued by this state, which means that other gun owners in America were not lucky to visit this region.

Note that in California, 20 counties are “sanctuaries” for illegal migrants, many of them have a population larger than some US states.

In addition to Needles, cities in Rhode Island, New Mexico and Washington took similar measures to protect gun owners.
