What immigration forms can you fill out online and how to do it
US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on its website updated the list of forms that are now available online. This list now includes 10 immigration forms.
Online filing allows foreigners to submit forms electronically, check the status of their case, and receive notifications from USCIS. Citizenship and Immigration Services use new technologies to meet the needs of applicants, petitioners and employees. Regardless of whether it is a paper application / petition format or electronic, USCIS strives to provide a safe and efficient process for everyone, according to the agency's website.
In addition to submitting the form online, if you immigrate to the United States as a lawful permanent resident, you must pay the USCIS immigration fee if not exempt from it. This fee can also be paid online.
Individuals can submit 10 USCIS forms online:
Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card
Completing the AR-11 online form will update your address on any pending applications, petitions, or requests that you submit on the form.
You do not need to submit a paper form AR-11 unless you are a victim of domestic violence, human trafficking, or other crimes. For more information on these special situations in which you should file a paper form AR-11, visit USCIS.
Changing your address with the United States Postal Service (USPS) will not change your address with USCIS or the Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) if you have an active or pending case. Please update your address in both USCIS and USPS.
Form G-639, Freedom of Information / Privacy Act Request
Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), you can request:
- your immigration certificate;
- another person's immigration certificate.
Check the USCIS Electronic Reading Room to see if it contains the information you need.
Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card
Use this form only to replace or renew your green card.
DO NOT submit this form if you have conditional resident status or want to revoke your green card:
- Form I-751, Petition for the removal of the convention from the green card, to close the green card obtained as a result of marriage
- Form I-829, Petition to revoke permanent resident status obtained as a result of financial investments in a business in the United States.
Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative
Use this form if you are a US citizen or lawful permanent resident and need to prove your relationship with a relative who wishes to come or stay in the United States on a permanent basis and receive a green card.
Submitting your Form I-130 is the first step in helping an eligible relative apply for immigration to the United States and obtain a green card. Filing or approving this petition does not give the applicant's relative any immigration status or benefits.
Form I-539Application to Extend / Change Nonimmigrant Status (Form I-539, Application to Extend / Change Nonimmigrant Status is the first online application to use the USCIS electronic processing strategy. Check your eligibility for online filing of this form at uscis.gov/i539online.)
Who can submit this form:
- Non-immigrants who are extending their stay or transferring to another nonimmigrant status;
- CNMI residents applying for initial status grant;
- Non-immigrants F and M applying for reinstatement of employment;
- Individuals seeking nonimmigrant status V or extending their stay as non-immigrant V.
Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings Under Section 336 of the INA
Use this form to request a hearing with the immigration officer about the denial of your N-400 (application for naturalization).

This form is used to apply for US citizenship.
Form N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization / Citizenship Document
Use this form to apply for: a replacement naturalization document, citizenship; repatriation certificate; Application for a special certificate of naturalization as a US citizen for recognition by a foreign country.
Form N-600Application for Certificate of Citizenship
Use this form to apply for a citizenship document.
Form N-600K, Application for Citizenship and Issuance of Certificate Under Section 322
Children regularly residing in another country can use this form to apply for US citizenship based on their parents' citizenship.
To submit these forms online, applicants must first create a USCIS account online at myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov. A free account allows them to:
- submit and track the status of your forms;
- pay their fees;
- track the status of your business;
- contact USCIS through a secure mailbox;
- respond to requests for evidence.
The website stressed that USCIS still accepts the latest paper version of all forms by mail.
