How to get a refund for a ticket if the event was canceled due to an outbreak of coronavirus

Refund Ticket Sellers

Ticketmaster compiled a list of events that were canceled or postponed. If you purchased tickets from Ticketmaster for an event that was canceled, you will automatically receive a refund to the same card on which you bought them, minus UPS fees, within 7-10 business days, depending on the company. You can also log in to your Ticketmaster account, select your order, choose a refund, and select the tickets you want to return.

Telecharge.com informs that ticket holders for performances on Broadway or the New World Stages will automatically be refunded to their credit cards from March 12 to April 12.

StubHub — This ticket seller said it will provide full refunds, including fees, for canceled events. Or StubHub customers can select a coupon for 120% of their original purchase towards a future event.

SeatGeek: if the event is canceled, ticket holders will be returned funds according to the payment method within three weeks. If the event is postponed, the tickets will most likely be valid on the new date, but this will depend on the location policy. Ticket owners will receive updates by email.

“In general, if an event is cancelled, the customer will receive a 100% refund,” said spokesman Chris Layden. More information here.

Vivid Seats: if the event is canceled and not rescheduled, Vivid Seats customers will receive a full refund, including shipping costs, thanks to a 100% buyer's guarantee. Theater Development Fund: TDF said on Twitter that ticket holders will be automatically refunded. Returns may take several days.

NBA refunds after league suspends season

NBA takes time out. It is unclear what will happen to people who have tickets for upcoming games.
