How to get a REAL ID in terms of the shutter

Until April 2019, California residents will be able to show their driver's license or California ID at the airport, as reported on the website of the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

What will be needed for travel?

All you need is a driver's license or state ID. But if you want to be especially careful, you can bring your driver’s license and another form of federal identity card, such as a passport. But this is only if you do not have a REAL ID.

The good news is that you can use two forms of ID, even after the 2020 deadline of the year, if you have not yet received a REAL ID.

How to get a REAL ID?

• You need to make an appointment to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• You must fill online application before your visit.
• You need to provide proof of identity, proof of social security, and two paper copies (without digital versions) confirming your residence permit. You will need two "proofs" of living in California starting in April 2019.
