Unemployed, but successful: how a Russian woman who moved to the USA conquered social networks

Born in Russia, 31-year-old Mia Erlich after moving to New York became a successful blogger who publishes humorous videos on Instagram. About the difficulties on her path that she had to face in childhood, as well as how she won Instagram, writes Lenta.Ru.

According to Erlich, her mother left the family when she was five years old. Four years later, with her father, she moved to the United States. Due to complete lack of knowledge of the English language, the child was isolated: she could not make acquaintances even among classmates.

Having learned the language and graduated from school, she began working as a real estate agent, but after a few years she realized that such a lifestyle did not suit her. During this period, Erlich began to publish short humorous sketches, one of which became viral and helped her gain over 600 thousand subscribers in just a year.

Erlich currently has almost a million subscribers, and she asks for thousands of dollars for advertising publications. The blogger noted that she maintains relations with her stepmother and father, but she barely communicates with her mother. She considers her departure from work “the best of the decisions made,” since she now feels happy.

Erlich states that the best videos from her repertoire are those based on real-life cases. “Think of the most shameful experience that has ever happened to you. It’s best to make a video about this, ”Erlich believes. At the same time, the woman urged to look for her style, since "copying someone else's will never lead to anything."
