How a classmate helped a newcomer to learn at school without knowing English

A new student came to one of the California schools, who practically did not speak English. He had a pretty hard time, because he did not understand either the teacher or the new friends. Until a clever classmate found a way to help him.
The 10-year-old family of Raphael Anaya Aguilara arrived in Temecula, California, from Mexico. The boy went to primary school, but the biggest problem for him was not knowing English. But classmate Rafael Amanda decided to use the application on the phone to help him.
“Since I don’t speak Spanish, I decided to use the Google Translate app and write Rafael a letter,” Amanda said.
The girl wrote: “Will you sit with me today? Find me at school and I'll show you my desk. We can color pictures together or tell each other stories. Thank you in advance. Amanda."
Rafael said he was very touched. The boy added that Amanda will now always be his friend.
The school marked the act of Amandi and thanked her for her kindness. She was even awarded the title of student of the month, and the girl's parents were able to meet with the parents of Raphael.
“I think her act touched a lot of people. I received about 1600 messages from all kinds of people from all over the world. It didn’t take a translator to tell them they were so grateful,” said Amanda’s mom, Kimber Kinard.
