Photographer Olivia Locher owns a small studio in Manhattan in her 27. Among the expensive boutiques on Madison Avenue, her workshop looks like an art hangout. In one of her projects, I Fought the Law (“I broke the law”), she and her friends traveled around the American states 50 and violated the most stupid laws in each of them, the newspaper writes Нож.

For example, in Texas it is forbidden to make children unusual haircuts.

In Alabama - carry ice cream in your pocket.

In Ohio - undress in front of a portrait of a man.

In Pennsylvania, you tie a string to a bill and pull it when someone bends over for the money. In Indiana, you can't get aroused in public. In Oklahoma you can't sleep with your car. Whatever that means.

In Nevada - to fix the American flag on a bar of soap.

In Utah - carry the violin in a paper bag. In California - ride a bike in the pool. In Hawaii - put coins in your ears. In Kentucky, it is forbidden to paint the lawn in red.

In Kansas - serve wine in cups.

In Minnesota, you cannot cross the state line with a bird on your head.

In Connecticut, pickled cucumbers have to bounce off when they fall, to officially be considered pickled. In Maine, women should not be tickled under the chin with a feather duster. In New Jersey, a person can be arrested for soup sipping in public.

In Michigan, you can not paint the sparrows to sell them under the guise of parrots. In Maryland, you cannot hammer nails into trees.

In Rhode Island you can not wear transparent clothes.

In Virginia, do not spit on the gulls. In Kentucky you can not lick the toads.

It is forbidden to create static electricity in South Dakota. In Washington, you can not draw peas on the American flag.

In Colorado, weeds were outlawed in the yards of private homes.

In Missouri, you can't spoil milk packages. In Nebraska, parents are prohibited from curling their children’s hair without a state license.

In Delaware, you can not wear pants that fit the waist. In New Mexico, you can not spoil the stones.

In Alaska, it is forbidden to drive a car if there are three people in the front seat.

All photos are published in the book. I Fought the Law. Since April 1, the girl is organizing a new project “Perezd”, which will last 10 days. A photographer will display a new job in the windows of his studio every day. After three years of Manhattan life, Locher moves - it is not yet known where.

“8 from 10 photos were taken in my studio, so I think this is like an invitation to look inside this space. None of my neighbors or businessmen from below never understood what I was doing, this is their chance, ”Olivia said.

Not far from the studio was the last “Factory” Andy Warhol.

“My concierge once told me that Warhol often lowered work through the huge windows of the studio, because the canvases did not crawl through the door. This idea stuck in my head and led to what I'm doing now, "- says the artist.
