Israelis have made the largest bank hacking

The Israeli police and the FBI detained four Israelis suspected of hacking into the websites of financial organizations and banks, as well as securities fraud.

On Wednesday, 22 July, the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court will consider extending their detention.

The detentions were the finale of a lengthy investigation conducted by the police of the two countries.

All the suspects studied at the University of Florida ten years ago, and, according to American authorities, it was they, and not Russian hackers, who were the authors of the most “loud” Internet hack in history (including the reputable US bank JPMorgan Chase, where in 2011- In 2012, they carried out illegal transactions with shares).

The Israelis have created a network for hacking financial institutions with offices in Tel Aviv, Moscow and Florida.

The US authorities announced the defeat of the famous hacker forum called Darkode. More than seventy people were arrested, including Israelis.

According to a statement by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, this is the largest international operation ever conducted against hackers.

Police in twenty countries have detained or arrested dozens of members of the Darkode community. The forum server was also confiscated by law enforcement.

Among the countries participating in the large-scale operation are Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Latvia, Macedonia, Nigeria, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Great Britain and the USA .

The Darkode forum served as a kind of online service market for hackers and those who want to hire them to conduct cyber attacks.

The Lahav-433 department for combating serious crimes of the Israeli police arrested three young people at the request of the FBI - two brothers (nineteen and twenty years old) from the central region of the country, as well as a resident of Umm al-Fahm.
