Eared vulture again visited Israel
In Israel, they noticed a bird that they had not seen here for 14 years. In the High Bar Reserve, which is located in the Carmel mountain range, the eared vulture has stopped. This species is one of the largest vultures in the world.
The Israeli radio station Reshet Bet reported that the last time such vultures were seen in the Eilat Mountains was 14 years ago.
At the moment, in the reserve High Bar live only two females and one male eared vulture. The Biblical Zoo, in conjunction with the University of Tel Aviv, donated these birds to restore the population of extinct species in protected areas.
