Shooting occurred because of 26 illegal immigrants from Russia on the border of the USA and Mexico: details of the incident

Three cars that tried to pass through a border crossing in California before the officer opened fire carried a total of 26 Russian immigrants, including young children, according to San Angelo Live.

At approximately 12:21 p.m. on December 33, a Ford SUV, followed by a Mercedes sedan traveling together, approached the initial inspection area at high speed in San Isidro, California, the Mexican port of entry.

The CBP officer conducting the preliminary checks, passing the lane before the initial inspection, fired about four shots, hitting the Mercedes sedan.

The Mercedes sedan ran into a Ford SUV that stopped abruptly.

There were a total of 18 illegal migrants in the Ford SUV and Mercedes sedan, all of whom were Russian citizens.

As a result of the collision, two passengers of the Mercedes sedan received minor head bruises; however, no one was injured in the shelling.

12 people were in the first vehicle that crossed the border (seven adults aged 21 to 53 and five children aged less than one year to 5 years) and six people in the second vehicle (four adults aged 24 to 43 and older and two children 10 and 14 years old.)

The violent incident is currently under investigation by the San Diego Police Department and the CBP's Office of Professional Responsibility.

In addition, the CBP stated that the agency's National Council for the Oversight of the Use of Force is reviewing all incidents involving the use or attempted use of lethal weapons to determine whether the actions of the CBP personnel involved in the incident comply with all relevant agency regulations.

The drivers of both vehicles (males aged 29 and 24) were arrested and charged under Title 8 of Title 1324 of the United States Code.

Several lanes at the port of entry at San Isidro were closed where the incident occurred.

The tracks were reopened at about 5:30 am Monday morning.

Simultaneously with the use of force, a third vehicle also crossed the port of entry in San Isidro in a different lane and was moving under normal traffic conditions.

The third vehicle, a black Dodge Durango, carried eight people who were also identified as undocumented Russian citizens to enter the United States.

The group of eight included five adults between the ages of 20 and 34, one five-year-old child, and one 17-year-old adolescent.
