From a fabulous trip to quarantine: the story of an American infected with a coronavirus on vacation

On March 7th, Matt Swider, an ordinary American tourist, began tweeting his trip to Egypt on Twitter. It is unlikely that he knew that the trip would take a dramatic turn, writes Identity-mag.

Matt Svider, an American online editor, arrived in Egypt on a tourist visit.

He wrote on Twitter about his every action and visit to interesting places, admired the views and shared his thoughts. But suddenly he announced that he had probably become infected with the coronavirus and was now in quarantine, although he did not complain about well-being.

Initially, he was told that the test for coronavirus was negative, but after they said that he was still positive.

Svider said he contracted an infectious disease when he boarded a cruise ship in Aswan, where many other people were later infected with COVID-19, as reported.

After the American was detained due to suspected coronavirus, he continued to describe what was happening. He shared his new experience on a flight aboard a military aircraft that delivered him and other 32 people to Mars Matruh for hospitalization. People were taken to nine ambulances to the plane.

Upon arrival on Mars Matruh, he updated the information on Twitter and confirmed that he is the carrier of the virus, but at the moment its temperature is 36,6. He also took the time to describe how doctors treat him. According to him, these were real professionals who perform their work efficiently and humanely. While in the hospital, he ate healthy foods that strengthen the immune system, while still not showing, according to him, signs of infection.

After a short stay in the hospital, Svider reported that he had another test done, which confirmed that the coronavirus was defeated. He also said that although he fell in love with Egypt and local doctors, he really missed his family and asked him to be allowed to go home.
