Vocativ has discovered a new mobile app for Android phones that helps Islamic State supporters follow terrorist news.
The app was created by Amaq, an agency linked to the Islamic State. Through the Islamic State app, the user can view exclusive video reports of terrorists from areas under their control, as well as terrorist ground operations in Iraq and Syria.
You cannot download this application through the Google Play Store; you need to install special files on your phone manually. The app was easy to use and easy to access. On Twitter alone, Vocativ journalists found at least 40 posts from Islamic State supporters with links to download the app.
