By the end of the year, Wi-FI will appear at 37 metro stations in New York
Until the end of the year in the New York subway plan to hold Wi-Fi at 37 stations. This decision was made after checking the quality of Wi-Fi at stations where it already exists.
On Wednesday, city inspector Scott Stringer published a report in which he assured that passengers had no problems watching videos with cats while they were waiting for a train.
According to the report, all 76 Wi-Fi points work without interruption, even if a person came into the car. The inspection team checked stations in Queens and Manhattan (including Grand Central Station and Roosevelt Avenue), where access points are already operating. She also reviewed applications that require access to the Internet on smartphones and laptops.
During internet testing at each station, the reviewers sent messages, listened to Spotify, scrolled through Facebook, and also used other applications.
