Immigration agents arrest 114 workers at a company
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested 114 employees of Corso's Flower & Garden Center at two locations in Ohio.
More than 200 law enforcement officers were involved in the operation, writes US News.
According to law enforcement officers, the detainees will be charged with theft of personal data and tax evasion.

Investigation of the case Corso's Flower & Garden Center It began in October 2017, when a US border patrol arrested a woman who issued documents to illegal immigrants that used stolen data from others and also helped them get a job.
Questioning the women brought them to Corso's Flower & Garden Center. After checking the social security numbers of some of her employees, agents found that many of them belong to people who have already died.
Of the 313 employees whose files were checked, 123 aroused suspicion among agents, and it was decided to arrest them on charges of stealing personal data and, in some cases, tax evasion.
ICE has dramatically increased the number of inspections by American employers regarding the immigration status of their employees. From 1 October 2017 to 4 in May 2018, 2 282 inspections were carried out by employers, which is almost 60% more than 1360 inspections that were conducted from October 2016 to September 2017.
