Immigration police reported on arrests of illegal immigrants
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) reported on raids conducted in March.
More than 300 illegal immigrants in 5 states were arrested, the agency said.
In Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Delaware were arrested 248 people.
Among them:
- 120 people were previously convicted and / or were under investigation (48%);
- 50 of them had previously been deported from the United States, but illegally re-entered the country;
- Six were under investigation due to violations of immigration laws;
- In relation to 18 arrested, a deportation court decision was previously taken.
In Nevada, was arrested 61 illegal immigrant.
Of these, 55 had a criminal record, including criminal convictions for sexual offenses, drug-related crimes, and domestic violence.
6-7 March officers in New York arrested 8 immigrantswho have previously been prosecuted for sexual assault or harassment. Among those detained are citizens of Mexico, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala and Ecuador.
