And on the morning of December 8, Arnault’s figures were already $186,3 billion, and Musk’s were $185,4 billion.

Musk first topped the Forbes list of billionaires in the spring of 2021, when his fortune reached $219 billion - then he displaced Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose fortune Forbes estimated at $171 billion, from first place, writes with the BBC.

In 2021, LVMH was recognized as the most valuable company in Europe. The business is run by the Arnault family.
