Milton spawned at least 36 tornadoes, writes ABC NewsAs Floridians come together to clean up their cities and rebuild, many charities and nonprofits are raising funds and accepting donations to support rescue and recovery efforts.

Listed below are organizations providing support in direct response to the needs of communities impacted by Hurricane Milton.
Feeding America is working with local partners in impacted states, including Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, to support recovery from Hurricanes Helen and Milton. The organization works with food banks and pantries year-round to combat hunger in America and steps up its efforts after disasters to support communities in need.

In the wake of Hurricanes Helen and Milton, Global Empowerment Mission, a humanitarian-focused nonprofit, is distributing essential aid, including food, water, hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, tarps, and pet supplies, in North Carolina and Florida.
Ground Force Humanitarian Aid is a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers to respond to natural disasters, with a particular focus on helping the elderly and people with disabilities.
Mercy Chefs provides thousands of hot meals in Florida and North Carolina.
Christian charity Samaritan's Purse is raising funds and sending volunteers, staff and equipment to distribute emergency aid to hurricane victims.

The Walt Disney Company, parent company of ABC News, is an ongoing supporter of the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Relief Giving Program, which enables organizations like the American Red Cross to immediately step up and deliver critically needed assistance to hard-hit areas of the United States.

New York State Assemblyman Mikhail Novakov also announced Facebook about collecting aid for victims:
"Friends, we can't stop the elements, most of us don't have the opportunity to go volunteering to clear the rubble. But instead of oohing and aahing while scrolling through the terrible news, we can provide real help. My office is accepting aid for victims of Hurricane Milton in Florida."
The deputy writes that canned goods, hygiene products, detergents, and new clothes are needed.
