Ohio Governor Claims US President
Ohio's governor, John Kasich, said on Tuesday, 21 July, that he would run for the Republican party in 2016 for the presidency.
Keisich relatively late entered the presidential race.
The former congressman is likely to be the last of sixteen prominent Republicans whose goal is to put an end to the dominance of the Democrats in the White House. He needs to quickly go through all the formal procedures in order to have time to speak at the first debate in the 6 party of August.
John Caseich was born in 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His father is an American citizen of Czechoslovak origin, and his mother is Croatian.
In 1978, Caseich was elected to the Ohio State Senate. In the election, he defeated the current Democratic senator Robert O'Shaughnessy, gaining fifty-six percent of the vote. At the age of twenty-six, he became the youngest Ohio State Senator in history.
