New Jersey Governor to race for US presidency
The governor of the US state of New Jersey, Chris Christie 30 June will announce the entry into the fight for the highest state office of the United States. He is going to run for the Republican Party, the American television station ABC reported on Thursday.
In recent months, Christie was in the center of the scandal after the appearance of information that persons from his entourage deliberately contributed to traffic jams.
Thus, former aide to the governor David Wildstein admitted in May that he conspired with two other associates of Christie, and they, under the pretext of the need for road work, ordered the closure of part of the lanes on the George Washington Bridge, which, crossing the Hudson River, connects the state of New York.
