A group of 23 colleagues won the biggest jackpot in the history of New York
Twenty-three employees of the company in Long Island, who weekly group buy lottery tickets, won the largest jackpot Mega Millions in the history of the lottery in New York.

In the draw that was held on January 1, they won 437 million dollars, writes Fox 5.
According to representatives of the state lottery, the group received a prize under the name of New Life LLC. Colleagues decided to withdraw money as a lump sum payment in the amount of 252 213 914 dollars. After taxation, the group will receive a check for 176 155 308 dollars.
Each of the group members invested one dollar, the total amount of 23 dollars they used to purchase lottery tickets. The winning ticket was part of the Super Pack for 5 dollars, which includes tickets for the Mega Millions lottery, Powerball and Lotto.
“There were a lot of tears, hugs and joy that day. Many of the participants checked the ticket two or three times, not believing their eyes,” the lottery said in a press release.
This is the first time in state history when the Super Pack included a winning jackpot ticket.
The winning numbers were 34-44-57-62-70 with Mega Ball 14. The ticket was sold at Brookville Auto Service on the 25A highway at Glen Head.
The store owner received a commission of 10 000 dollars.
