The events in Afghanistan did not change the plan for preparing Zelensky's visit to the United States, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Dmitry Kuleba said at a briefing.

“So far we do not have any indicators that events in Afghanistan in any way negatively affect the preparation and implementation of the visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States. Zelensky will begin his visit to Washington on August 30,” he said.

According to the minister, the agenda of the visit will include a number of measures in Washington and the state of California.

“In connection with the expansion of the visit program, the meeting of Presidents Zelensky and Biden will take place on August 31. We agreed to postpone it by one day due to the fact that the format of the meeting was expanded to include not only a meeting of delegations, but also a face-to-face meeting,” Kuleba said.

According to him, such agreements were reached during his last trip to the United States together with the head of the President's Office Andrei Yermak.
