Princeton, New Jersey was voted the best small city in the United States, according to a rating WalletHub, writes NBC New York.
The ranking assessed 1268 US cities by five key indicators: accessibility, economic well-being, education and health care, quality of life and safety. Cities with a population from 25 thousand to 100 thousand people could take part in the ranking.
Below is a list of cities in the three states that were in the ranking:
Princeton (1 ranked ranking)
The city received not only the first place of the overall rating, but also took the first line in the indicator “economic well-being”. This indicator took into account: population growth, income growth, unemployment rate, the proportion of the population living below the poverty line, and the average household debt.
Westfield (19 ranked ranking)
This New Jersey town is in the top 20 of America’s best cities. He also ranked high in the “safety” indicator. In this city, one of the lowest rates of crime and theft. The city also took a high line in the column "economic well-being".
Fair Lawn (25 ranked rating)
This New Jersey town is in the top 50 of the best cities in the "education and health" area. This indicator took into account: the school system of the city, the percentage of the insured population, the proportion of adults in the category of poor health, as well as the percentage of the population who have a higher education diploma.
Westport (26 ranked ranking)
The city of Westport, Connecticut, has taken 27 a place from 1268 cities in the field of "security", and also 58 a place in the field of "education and health care". Westport was recognized as the second largest city with a percentage of the population having a high school diploma. Analysts also noted the high level of security in this city of the United States.
Saratoga Springs (30 ranked ranking)
