Cities from which Americans leave most often

Internal migration in the US is quite active, people leave some cities for various reasons, while moving to others.

Edition Abodo collected lists of large American cities, whose inhabitants most actively leave them, as well as a list of those whose population is growing most of all due to visitors from other localities in the United States.

People are leaving Virginia Beach most actively - during 2014-2015, 10% of its population left the city; Denver came in second place - 9,25% of its residents left. The top three in terms of departures is rounded out by Richmond, which lost 8,5% of its population. The top ten also included Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, Minneapolis, Portland and even Washington.

For comparison, 4,12% of the population left Miami during this period, Milwaukee - 4,97%, New York - 4,6%. Of the 50 large cities in the United States, Buffalo and Los Angeles were the cities from which the least people left, with less than 3,5% of the population leaving them.
