Google banned editing maps because of the scandal with the logo of Android
Google has suspended the Map Maker service, which allows you to edit maps, after an incident with a robot relieving itself - the Android logo.
The company admits that it has not yet come up with an algorithm that would help to cope with such situations.
“We believe it is more fair to say that since we cannot track changes immediately after they occur, we need to take a break,” the company said.
Earlier it was reported that in the area of the Soan River in Pakistan, a picture appeared on Google maps in which a robot (Android logo) relieves itself on a bitten apple (Apple logo). The picture was created in the style of the famous image of Calvin from the comics "Calvin and Hobbes". This happened on the day the Apple Watch launched.
The image was removed from the maps, and Google representatives had to apologize. According to them, the drawing was not made by the application developer, but by a third-party user using the publicly available Map Maker application.
Earlier on Google map near Russian the border appeared the emblem of Ukraine.
