Oddly enough, Google does not post this option on your account page. To configure the automatic deletion function, you need to delve into the settings in Google Maps.

Here is what you need to do:

• Open Google Maps on iPhone or Android.
• Click on the menu button in the upper left corner of the application.
• Select “Your Timeline”.
• Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
• Select Settings and privacy.
• Select Automatically delete location history.
• Change the setting from “Keep until I delete manually” to “Keep for 18 months” or “Keep for 18 months”.

It is recommended to force this data to be deleted every 3 of a month. There is no particular reason to leave them in your story for much longer, although you can choose 18 months if you do not agree with this statement. Anything older than the time you set will now be automatically deleted and will continue to be deleted by Google over time.
