Flexible hours and six-figure salary: Glassdoor named the 10 best jobs in 2022

The US labor market, despite the surge in omicrons, is buzzing with new opportunities. According to a recent study by Glassdoor, many of the top jobs offer flexible working hours and six-figure salaries. CNBC.

On March 29, Glassdoor released its latest report listing the top 50 jobs in America for 2022. The focus is on companies with at least 2021 payroll reports and 100 job postings posted on their website as of December 2000. The list shows the best professions for job seekers who are offered a lot of vacancies, great job satisfaction and high earning potential.

Psychiatrist (#22) and Psychologist (#34) made the list of top careers for the first time as demand for mental health services continues to rise amid the ongoing pandemic. But tech roles dominate the list, occupying nine positions in the top 10.

“Every firm today is a technology company,” says Daniel Zhao, senior economist and data scientist at Glassdoor. “The pandemic has really highlighted the value of data because of how abrupt and unpredictable the changes have been since this crisis – more companies are turning to real-time data to understand what’s going on and make decisions.”

An enterprise information system architect, whose responsibilities include overseeing the development and coordination of an organization's technology systems, is #1 on the list, followed by a full-stack developer and data scientist.

Zhao explains that such positions have high job satisfaction rates because they are better suited to flexible working arrangements, a sought-after benefit for both employees and job seekers given the ongoing pandemic.

1. Architect of the corporate information system

Vacancy description: The corporate information system architect is responsible for the entire infrastructure of the company's IT platform. Some of the main responsibilities of an enterprise architect are developing processes, documenting core IT procedures, tracking project progress, and ensuring security.

2. Full stack developer

Job Description: A fullstack-developer, or full-stack developer, is a person who takes responsibility for all stages of developing a web service.

He takes part both in the creation of the visual part of the Internet resource, and in the implementation of the server side. It is not necessary for him to have in-depth knowledge of all technologies, but a fullstack developer must be able to work with them and understand the basics. He works alongside graphic designers to create web design features and oversees projects from concept to completion.
