Russian consulate in Seattle asks Russians to urgently pick up documents

The Consulate General of Russia in Seattle asked the Russians to get ready documents.

In connection with the decision of the American authorities to close the Consulate General of Russia in Seattle, its employees are on its page in Facebook appealed to all Russian citizens with an urgent request to urgently report to the consulate for receipt of ready documents (passports, certificates, etc.)

The issuance of finished documents will be carried out by the Consulate General until March 30 2018.

“We kindly request you not to put off your visit to the Consulate General until the last day,” the appeal says.

Citizens who, when applying for a passport at the same time submitted an application for shipment, ready passports will be sent by mail.

“If it is necessary to submit applications for consular actions (passports, citizenship, notary office, civil registry office, etc.), we would strongly recommend contacting the Russian consular offices in Washington, New York or Houston,” the department reports.

Recall that 26 March has learned that the US authorities have decided send Russian diplomats from 60and also to close the Russian consulate in Seattle. Such a decision on the consulate was made due to its territorial proximity to the military base of submarines, the plant of the corporation Boeing in Seattle, Wash., and in response to Russia's use of military-type chemical weapons in Britain.
