Where is the easiest job to find in the USA

In December 2019, 89 more people were employed in Phoenix County, Arizona, compared to a year earlier, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. At the other end of the list were five New York counties; they showed the largest number of lost jobs, depending on the people living there. Edition Bloomberg explained where to look for work.

In Kings County (Brooklyn), 15 people lost their jobs - the largest drop in employment among all US districts. Queens followed - 204 jobs were lost. Given the addition of the Bronx and Richmond in New York County (Manhattan), 14 less people were employed in New York in December 875 than a year earlier.

New York City suburbs recorded 97 jobs last year, becoming one of the fastest growing US regions for employment.

The data are based on jobs held by residents of each county and do not include positions held by commuter passengers.

Over the past 10 years, in areas outside Manhattan, the number of jobs in the private sector of the city has grown by 48%.

In addition to the Maricop County in Phoenix, in the other six U.S. counties, the number of jobs increased by at least 2019 in 25. More than 000 jobs each were added to Los Angeles and Seattle counties. In Texas, Harris County and Dallas Houston County added over 50 jobs each. Miami-Dade and Las Vegas-Clark counties also exceeded that number.

Of the 51 metro suburbs with more than 1 million people (according to the 2010 census), 48 of them showed annual employment growth in 2019. Annual employment declined in areas of Hartford, Connecticut, and Memphis, Tennessee. Over the past 10 years, employment has grown by less than 7% in cities like Hartford, Buffalo and Pittsburgh.

Wage growth

Average weekly wages declined for private sector workers in 131 of the 396 metro suburbs last year. Salaries did not change in three of them and rose to 262. Revenue growth exceeded 5% in 118 metro areas.

Salaries increased by more than $ 100 per week in 17 regions and increased by more than $ 200 per week in four suburbs.
