Photos of Rubio and Ivanka Trump's awkward hugs turned viral on the net

Photos of Florida's awkward hugs from Senator Marco Rubio and the daughter of US President Ivanka Trump during the June 20 meeting became viral on the Internet.

Users noted the ambiguity of the gestures of politicians, writes CNN.

Rubio embraces Ivanka with both hands and leaned toward her very closely, while the President’s daughter stood straight and did not respond at all to the senator’s warm welcome.

The activity of commentators in social networks regarding the awkwardness of the situation prompted Marco Rubio to begin investigating what had happened. He wrote about this in his microblog Twitter, promising to publish the results of its verification in the near future.

Ivanka did not stay aside from the scandal, in her Twitter she wrote that “sources told her that Rubio had planned the allegedly failed embrace”, adding that she would have hugged him anyway.

Rubio later reported the results of his “investigation.” He wrote that “based on the evidence and his recollection, no one even attempted to hug. Therefore, the news about the failed hug is fake.”

Based on review of evidence & my own recollection, have concluded no hug was even attempted & press covfefe of alleged failed hug is false

The senator also published photos showing Ivanka putting her hand on his shoulder, proving that the information about the failed hug is fake.
