Forbes ranked the world's richest rappers

American magazine Forbes has published a ranking of the highest paid rappers in the world.

In total, twenty musicians were on the list. The amount of income included both earnings from the main type of activity, and from advertising contracts and the artists' own business enterprises.

First place was taken by Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy or P. Diddy. Between June 2014 and June 2015, the musician earned sixty million dollars.

Daddy currently rarely gives concerts, but a significant part of his income was business. The musician owns the brand Sean John, he has a stake in the Revolt television network and the producers of Aquahydrate water and Ciroc vodka.

Second place went to Jay-Z with 54 millions of dollars. Most of the musician's profits came from fees for 22 joint shows with his wife Beyoncé, as well as revenues from his entertainment company Roc Nation and the sparkling wine brand Armand de Brignac.

Top three closes the Canadian Aubrey Drake Graham, better known under the pseudonym Drake (Drake). The rapper earned 39,5 million dollars. Over the year, the musician played more than fifty shows, released the already “golden” album If you’re reading this’s Too Late and participated in the advertising campaigns Sprite and Nike.

The rating also includes rapper Dr. Dre (33 million dollars), Farrell Williams (32 million dollars), Eminem (31 million dollars), Kanye West (22 million dollars). The only woman on the list was Niki Minaj with an income of 21 million dollars.

The leader of the list last year was Dr. Dre. He earned about 620 million dollars. The musician made a deal with Apple, selling her his company Beats Electronics, which is engaged in the production of audio equipment.

The second and third place ranking was shared by Diddy and Jay-Z. The income of both was sixty million dollars.
