Russian President Vladimir Putin, during an official visit to France, paid an unusual compliment to the wife of French leader Emmanuel Macron, Brigitte, praising her for her “chic complexion,” writes Columnist.

Macron said his wife would leave the presidents while they worked. Putin, looking at the first lady of France, noted: “Your complexion is so gorgeous!” After this, the Russian leader presented her with a bouquet of flowers.

"Thank you! You need to stay longer,” responded the wife of the French president.

Social media users did not appreciate Putin's compliment. "Cunning fox! I pleased the old lady, foundation doesn’t count,” “The Wolf said to the Sheep: “Sheep!” You have a wonderful complexion! This is not Putin’s first diplomatic embarrassment.
