The US Federal Reserve has announced an economic outlook for the country.

Representatives of the US Federal Reserve expect that in the coming months, the country's economy will strengthen, and inflation - to grow.

This is stated in protocols meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee held in March 2018.

At the meeting, they voted to increase the range of the key interest rate on loans by a quarter percentage point, to 1,5% -1,75%, and also expressed concerns about the consequences of the trade and fiscal policy of the presidential administration Donald Trump. Amid the strengthening of the economy, the Fed will accelerate the rate of increase of this interest rate.

Of the 15 members of the Open Market Operations Committee, 12 expects rates to be raised three or four times in the 2018 year, with the number of pending three and four promotions being equal. Most Fed officials also predict that in 2019, rates will be raised at least three times.

The Fed has set a target inflation rate of 2%, stressing that this is not a ceiling. According to their forecasts, the target level is symmetrical, that is, they equally do not want both its excess and that inflation is below this level.

The leaders of the US central bank expect core inflation, as measured by their preferred indicator, to rise at least to 2% by the 2020 year.
