Facebook knows more about you relatives and friends
Scientists at the University of Cambridge report that artificial intelligence can best describe your personality. Researchers have found that Facebook likes provide a strikingly accurate assessment of personality—even more accurate than ratings from friends and family.
The results were published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Scientists wanted to find out how well a computer system can tell about “human features, namely forecasting,” says study lead author Michal Kosinski.
Thus, they created a computer model that studied the likes of 86220 users who provided access to data - pages, news, audio recordings, books, statuses. The subjects also answered 100 questions in the myPersonality app.
The researchers found that their computer model more accurately described the identity of a person than people. They were surprised to learn that in fact computers are superior to us in some way, writes AmericaRu.com
