Jewish Federations of North America raise $500 million to support Israel
Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) launched an unprecedented campaign to raise $500 million to support Israel.
The funds raised will be used both for immediate humanitarian needs, including medicine, equipment and housing, and for long-term recovery and rehabilitation - from rebuilding houses and infrastructure to psychological assistance to victims.
Jewish Federations of North America immediately provided $10 million to 20 organizations providing emergency relief and support in Israel, including the Jewish Agency Sokhnut, JDC, World ORT, Israel Trauma Coalition, United Hatzalah, Magen David Adom, ZAKA, Barzilai Medical Center and Soroka Medical Center.
“At one of the darkest moments in Israel’s history, the Jewish Federations of North America is launching a historic fundraising campaign to support the Jewish state and its people,” the leadership said Jewish federations. “For many decades, we have been a pillar of the Jewish state, helping to build cities and communities and have always been there to support Israel. We will stand with Israel in these difficult days.”
