Coco is a 2017 full-length computer animated music film.
The concept of the film is based on the Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead.
The film tells the story of 12-year-old Miguel Rivera, who was born in a Mexican village into a family of shoemakers. He dreams of becoming the same musician as his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. But in the Rivera family, music is forbidden and is considered a curse, since Miguel's great-great-grandfather left the family because of her. Desperate to prove his talent, the hero randomly finds himself in the world of the dead, where he meets the souls of his ancestors. In the company of the rogue skeleton of Hector, he must find de la Cruz before dawn. Otherwise, Miguel will never return home and turn into a skeleton. But everything turns out to be much more complicated ...
