While residents in the lower valley of the Mississippi River are watching by storm barry, another storm system floods the northeast, already killing two people.

Water streams washed away in Pennsylvania, killing a pregnant woman and her 8-year-old son, said Douglas City Police Chief John Dzurek.
“They couldn’t get out and water started coming into the car,” he said.

The pregnant woman who was in the car at that moment talked to the 911 operators until the firefighters arrived. She remained in contact with the rescuers for 30 – 45 minutes while they tried to get to her car in the water.
The police made several attempts to call the woman back, but the call was forwarded to voice mail.

The car found around 21: 45 on a steep slope, five hours after sending the crew to the area.

Warning of a sudden flood in the northeast
The storm line, which passed through Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, continued north-east on Friday morning, CNN meteorologist Robert Sheklford said.
The National Weather Service reported heavy rainfall in the states of Maine and New Hampshire on Thursday. In some areas, the water level reached 3,8 cm.

Weather data predict rain showers and thunderstorms all night. Flash floods are also expected.
“Given the abnormal moisture reserves in the region and intense rainfall, flash flooding is possible,” meteorologists told CNN.
