Ex-Trump Aide Barred from Florida to Dubai Due to Invalid Passport
Former adviser to the 45th US President Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, was removed from the plane at Miami International Airport before flying to Dubai due to the fact that his passport was canceled. Writes about it The Washington Post.

Miami-Dade (Florida) Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta confirmed that Manafort was removed from an Emirates flight without incident on March 20.
Manafort, 72, ran President Donald Trump's campaign for months during the 2016 presidential race, but was fired in August of that year after his dealings in Ukraine were exposed.

He was later charged with a wide range of financial crimes as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into links between the Trump campaign and Russia. He was convicted by a jury in August 2018 and later pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington, DC.

In May 2020, Manafort was released from a maximum security prison where he had served over seven years of a federal sentence due to coronavirus concerns. Although Manafort did not serve long to be eligible for release under the guidelines, the Department of Prisons decided to release him due to his age and health issues. Trump pardoned Manafort in December 2020.
